Founded in 1990 by Principal Angie Whittle L.I.S.T.D.

The aim of the school

Our aim is to provide excellent but affordable classes taught by qualified, professional teachers in a friendly atmosphere, which enables pupils to progress and develop their talents.

We aim to meet every pupils individual needs, from the 'one lesson a week' child who comes for pure enjoyment or to improve their coordination and confidence - to the more ambitious student who wants to develop a career in the Performing Arts.

We have classes in the following subjects :
Modern Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Street Dance, Drama, Singing, Gymnastics, Violin & Piano. Pupils are offered the chance to take I.S.T.D. examinations in Ballet, Modern & Tap, LAMDA examinations for Acting, Verse & Prose & Musical Theatre, ABRSM exams for Piano & Violin and BG badges in Gymnastics.

FACILITIES  The school is located in a purpose built building with large studios, sprung floors, showers and excellent changing facilities.

SUMMER SCHOOLS  In the Summer holidays we run a 2 week Summer School and have various workshops on Sundays through the year. Plus we stage an annual show in a West End Theatre. We stage concerts, displays and competitions throughout the year and provide guest appearances at various events.

CASTINGS  Pupils from the school are offered the chance to work professionally in Television, Commercials, Photographic or on stage.  Pupils have worked in the West End and  can regularly be seen in T.V. dramas and Commercials.

TEACHING STAFF  All our teachers are qualified in their chosen fields, DBS checked and insured. We all keep our knowledge in our fields updated to keep abreast of the constantly changing syllabus's and requirements. We are all passionate about what we teach !

TRY SOME CLASSES FOR FREE  We operate an Introductory free visit system for most classes whereby you can come and join in or watch classes of your choice. Classes are after school Monday to Friday and weekends. 

DANCE WEAR SHOP  The school stocks all the regulation Dance wear and kit for classes at very reasonable prices as they are bought wholesale. If we don't have your size we can order the item in.

Adult Classes

Why not enjoy a class yourself while your children are having theirs?

Try out Paula's Adult Tap ...all welcome 2.25 to 3.25pm. Perfect for a positive Saturday and we can loan some Tap Shoes.. All classes are taught in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

We run a 10 week term with lessons being from40 minutes to an hour in length. Prices range from £8.00 - £9.00 per class and private lessons in and subject are £19.50 for 30 minutes
