SPRING 2025 NEWSLETTER
Hello everyone!!
Welcome to the New Year and 2025!! I really hope that you all had a super Christmas and are entering January in good spirits . Thank you so much for your thoughtful cards and gifts. I had a lovely family Christmas and have really enjoyed the break.....hope you all did too!
LAST TERM
We held two celebratory events at the end of last term....the Dance & Drama production of Arabian Nights and the Candlelight Christmas Concert ..Well Done to all involved who gave time , commitment and enthusiasm!!!!
Piano exam entries were all successful and we even had a Distinction!!!....
so now to move onto...
THIS TERMS NEWS
We do have TIMETABLE CHANGES so please check the time of your lesson..I am enclosing a personally marked schedule for you.
Musical Theatre class is now extended to 1 hour and Grade 3/4 Jazz and Tap extended to 75 minutes. Introduction to Drama & Singing for 3-5 years is now at 10.50 which will mean the classes for younger pupils will all link together better.
This term will feature our Choreographic and Composition Festival so this is your chance to be creative and use the imagination, we will guide and help you to explore different ideas.This open to all disciplines that we run at the school..Dance, Piano Piece, Poem and Dance!
Gymnastics classes will be having British Gymnastics level testing for their next medal and certificate and the Squad pupils attending the Tekne Comp in March.
As this term could well mean some cold weather I would like to let you know that we now stock blue and black crossovers for ballet which are much the best cover up not to conceal the body shape. If we don't have your size we will order.
We aslo have Gymnastic sweatshirts which can be personalised with your name
NEW TEACHERS
We are very pleased that we now have 2 new Piano teachers who are joining the school to replace Amy. George has already teaching on Thursdays and Tiffany will be covering Wednesdays..they are both very experienced teachers and used to teaching all ages. They are available to start their teaching earlier in the afternoon than Amy did so we will have some more available slots...so let me know as they always go quickly.
Elaine has given up teaching her Saturday Hip Hop class as she is becoming a "Football Mum" as her son has joined a Saturday league so we welcome Lucie who is taking over the class. Lucie has covered for Elaine before so it is great that she is joining..
REMINDERS!!!!
Please return all the costumes from the show...to say that I am missing some is an understatement!!! It is very beneficial that we have a good stock of show costumes so please return
Also attached is this terms invoice...I sometimes get told by parents that they don't get one....so the attached fees break down is the INVOICE.
Just to remind everyone payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque, card or cash ( at the desk) and although ideally everyone pays the total in one payment you can also ,if it helps. pay in 3 installments on week 1,4 and 7 of term. I was left with some debts at the end of last term which with the HUGE expense of the show made things very difficult so please don't put paying the school fees at the bottom of your list. Thank you.

AUTUMN NEWSLETTER 2024
Hello everyone,
I hope you have all had a lovely Summer with time to relax and enjoy family time in the sunshine...I think we all needed the boost!
Our Autumn Term begins on Monday 16th and we are looking forward to seeing you all again, There have been some small changes to class times ..so please check your new marked schedule on the attached timetable and let me know if you have any questions. Fees remain the same as last year and your fees total will include the annual membership renewal of £15. The possibility of paying fees in 3 equal payments over the course of a term remains for those who find it useful.
LAST TERM was really super busy with exams in Drama, Piano and Tap and I am pleased to say we again had a 100% pass rate and particularly impressive was the fact that with the Lamda exams 75% of the pupils got a distinction!!!!...and that was right up to Gold Medals.
We also put on our annual Gymnastics Display which was very well attended and at the end of the term our Choreography Celebration Event .
THIS TERM ...
Is SHOW Term for our Dance & Drama pupils . The date is Saturday December 7th and will be held at R.A.D.A. Studios , so please make a big note in your diary for that day.
GYMNASTICS
After a meeting with the Gymnastics coaches we have decided to increase the Gymnastics Squads training hours back to the amount that we used to schedule before Covid, this means that on a Saturday there will be a squad session at midday as well as the existing Thursday session....we encourage all squad gymnasts to really try and attend both if they can as well as their regular group lesson, there will also be some new pupils invited to join squad this term.
NEW LESSON FOR LISPS
Becky feels that some extra help could be offered to pupils who have lisps and I have scheduled a session every Saturday at 12.55pm for 30 minutes...it will be a small class with a slightly different fee structure but Becky feels it would be very worthwhile,
OUR CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS CONCERT
will be on Sunday 8th December at 5pm....always my start to Christmas with the lovely piano performances and singing.
So please make a note of this in your diary as well.
WHATSAP GROUP....just to remind you all that the school has a whatsap group which posts info and is a quick way to check info along with the website , so if you wish to be added just message me.
UNIFORM...a little reminder to please come to class correctly dressed and groomed....we sell and stock ALL the required uniform at he school to make things easy for you and being in the correct kit for class is a positive step towards progress!!
FEES...there will NOT be a fees increase this term but the Annual School Membership does renew in September for the academic year...£15 per pupil. Plus I do need to action the school fees policy for small classes where an extra £10 per term is added for classes with 5 or less pupils
Itemised below is your Autumn bill, it is fine if preferred to pay in 3 equal installments on weeks 1.4 &7
